There will be no MAQP for 2008

Welcome To The  Mid Atlantic QSO Party

The 2007 results can be viewed from the link below, and the Plaque winners, 
Certificate winners, and non-winners are all listed, and all awards will be delivered over the next weeks. 

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to all participants.

However, on a sad note, we need to announce that there will be no MAQP for 2008.

We held out hope until the last possible moment for a continuation of the MAQP, especially in light of the success of other area-wide QSO contests, but due to flat participation and more importantly, a lack of support and help doing all the work the contest entails despite dozens of pleas for assistance, we regret to announce that there will be no 2008 or future Mid-Atlantic QSO Parties.

Thanks to all participants and everyone who did help along the way. 

It was a fun contest, although troubled by pretty poor band conditions in these beginning years. 

We'll be sorry to see it go. Hope to catch you all on the other big contests!

If any of you have the time and effort you can put into continuing this MAQP Party next year and beyond, 
contact any of the current representatives, and maybe you can get a new group together that can carry this forward.

  
Band conditions will be improving soon, and maybe we can make ago of it again.
